Placement Testing

Placement Testing

There are several placement tests to consider, based largely upon your desired major. Please review this document to determine which placement tests you are required to complete.

If you determine that you need to take a placement exam in Chemistry, Mathematics or Foreign Language, please visit the departmental sites for additional information and dates/times of upcoming, scheduled exams:

If you are transferring in credits and wish to see if you may be exempt from taking a placement test, contact the placement coordinator for the department you are inquiring about, listed at the bottom of this page. It is possible that transfer students will receive an exemption from taking the math placement test, but that determination will be made only through the math placement coordinator.

To register for any of the tests, click here and complete the form.

If you encounter any problems with the registration form, first try accessing the form by using a different browser (e.g., Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Explorer, etc.). If that does not resolve the issue, contact the Office of Orientation and Transition Programs at (717)871-5553.

Special Accommodations

If you need special accommodations for testing due to a physical and/or learning disability, please contact the Office of Learning Services at 717-871-5554.
