Marauder Family Academy
This is an exciting time for you and your student! Millersville University wants to create a strong partnership with you; one that best supports your student in reaching their educational objectives.
There is a lot to learn and understand about life at Millersville University. The Marauder Family Academy is designed to introduce you to what that looks like for your student, while also preparing you for the impact this transition will have in your own life. The program provides information on:
- programs and services pledged to support your student;
- the changes you may experience in your own life;
- best ways to partner with the University in supporting your student;
- how students are advised regarding courses and campus involvement;
- the environment at MU.
Whether this is your first student heading off to college or your last, the program promises to provide you with useful information about the programs and services offered to students as well as discussions of how you can best support your student's growth and development.
Academies are one day long, and there are several dates to choose from to accommodate your summer schedule. Attendance is not required, but highly encouraged for parents and families of incoming Millersville University students.
Space is limited for each Marauder Family Academy, and advance registration is required. Registration for each of the programs will close one week prior to the program date. The cost of the program is a non-refundable $25 per family member. The registration fee covers the cost of program materials, a continental breakfast, and lunch.

There is no programming for students or siblings during the Marauder Family Academy. We ask that only adult family members and caregivers attend the program. Students will have their own orientation program during the summer. Younger siblings will be invited to campus in the fall during the Marauder Family Weekend programming. If it is unavoidable that you bring younger family members, please complete a registration for any family member 12 years of age and older.
Getting on Campus
Parking is available in the McComsey Parking Lot off of James Street directly across from Gordinier Hall & Bolger Conference Center (#54 on campus map). Parking Permits are not required for Marauder Family Academy days. Check-in is from 8:00 - 8:45 a.m. in the Student Memorial Center (#53 on campus map) Juice Bar Lobby. The last session ends at 4:30 p.m.
