PASSHE Summit - November 12-14, 2014
A Message From the Chancellor
Please accept my invitation to attend the 2014 Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education Summit November 12 - 14 at Millersville University. The theme of this year's summit, "Inclusive Excellence and International Education: Passport to Success Through Innovation, Creativity, and Engagement," covers a lot of ground. It also focuses attention on a key element of our mission: student success.
During the State of the System address earlier this year, I stated that my goal as chancellor is for PASSHE to be recognized as the most flexible, collaborative, and student-focused university system in America. Activities such as this Summit will help ensure that happens.
Over these three days, you will have the opportunity to learn from each other and to sharpen your skills to better serve your students. You will discuss important issues related to gender equity, faculty and staff diversity, service to veterans, and international education, among others.
I want to thank Millersville University for all of the hard work and planning they already have done as the host of this year's event. To each of you who will be attending, I say thank you for your commitment to the cause. I appreciate what each of you are doing on behalf of the more than 112,000 students who attend the State System universities, all of whom will benefit from what you will learn and take back to your campus.
