Dr. Lopez received her bachelor's degree in psychology at DeSales University, and continued her education in a Masters of Counseling program at Temple University. Afterwards, Dr. Lopez attended Lehigh University, where she studied for her Ph.D. in School Psychology. Throughout her college education, Dr. Lopez has specialized in areas concerning children presenting emotional, behavioral, and academic problems. She has gained extensive experience in working with students of all ages, during her 17-year employment as a School Counselor and School Psychologist for the Allentown School District, and as a School Psychologist for parochial schools. In addition, Dr Lopez worked as an independent practitioner in Delaware and Philadelphia, and as an adjunct faculty member in Kutztown and Lehigh Universities.
Here at Millersville, Dr. Lopez teaches Psychology 227 (Development of the Child and Adolescent), and Psychology 600 (Professional Seminar in School Psychology), and Psychology 646 (Consultation). During her leisure time, Dr. Lopez enjoys outdoor activities with her family, such as biking, camping, and canoeing. She also loves cooking, listening to music, dancing, and spending quality time with her two sons, Julian and Andres.
