Additional Infomation
Dr. Szollos received his undergraduate education overseas, where he attended Lund University in Sweden. He traveled to the United States for his graduate education and received his masters and his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Connecticut. The undergraduate courses he teaches at the university are Psychology of Human Adjustment (PSYC 256) and Counseling Strategies (PSYC 447), and he teaches a variety of courses in the graduate program.
His areas of specialization are clinical psychology, research methodology, human emotions, and child psychotherapy. He also has numerous research interests in the areas of human emotions, anxiety disorders, teaching professional skills, and health psychology. He also encourages students to work with him each semester as undergraduate research assistants on projects of mutual interest. Dr. Szollos firmly believes that research experience is imperative for anyone who is contemplating attending graduate school.
