| AUG 28 | Residence halls open for check-in for returning students (11am - 4pm) |
| AUG 29 | Classes begin Late registration online Drop/add period begins online |
| SEP 05 | Last day to drop or add a course online (by 11:59pm) New this fall, online drop/add using MAX will replace the use of drop/add cards! |
| SEP 05 | Holiday -- NO CLASSES and University offices are CLOSED |
| SEP 06 | W grade period begins Last day to submit a request to take a course on a pass/fail or audit basis (requests must be in the Registrar's Office by 4:30pm) |
| SEP 22 | Application deadline for Fall degree (applications must be filed in the Registrar's Office by 4:30pm) Applications for the master's degree (graduation) must be filed in the Graduate Studies Office |

| NOV 08 | Graduate degree-seeking registration for Spring 2012 term |
| NOV 09 | Graduate non-degree seeking registration for Spring 2012 term |
| NOV 10-18 | Spring 2012 undergraduate registration |
| NOV 22 | Thanksgiving recess begins after last class |
| NOV 28 | Thanksgiving recess ends at 7am |
| DEC 03 | Registration of new full-time undergraduate students admitted for Spring 2012 |
| DEC 12 | Last day to change a pass/fail grade to a regular grade Last day for graduate students to make up a Spring or Summer 2011 incomplete grade for a graduate course |
| DEC 12 | Deadline for submitting graduate theses and grades for research reports to the Graduate Studies Office |
| DEC 14 | MAX academic transcript & DARS will not be available to students beginning at 6am |
| DEC 13-17 | Evaluation period -- Special class schedule Classes will meet during this period for regular instruction or for examinations |
| DEC 18 | Fall 2011 term ends |
| DEC 18 | Commencement begins at 2pm |
| WED DEC 21 | Deadline (12MN) for faculty to submit final grades for Fall 2011 |
