Additional Information
Catherine has always loved math and biology and knew that she wanted to pursue math. Thanks to Millersville's dual enrollment program, she was able to complete her senior year of high school at Millersville University and decided to stay after her first year. After taking her first statistics course at Millersville, Catherine decided to concentrate her academic pursuits in statistics.
Involvement with the Delta Phi Eta honors sorority made for a simple adjustment to campus life at Millersville. Catherine also keeps busy with the Math Club, tutoring, and intramurals. Extracurriculars contribute to her academic success. Catherine received four scholarships, including a Board of Governors Science and Math Scholarship, as well as honors in several math courses. She also received the Lee E. and Laura H. Boyer Award for achievement in math and computer science, the Isaac F. Seiverling Award for proficiency in mathematics, and the Thomas Baker Memorial Scholarship for excellent ability and achievement. Catherine has also had the distinction of making the Dean's List every semester as well as the Mathematics Chairman's list.
Following graduation, Catherine plans to attend graduate school to pursue a Ph.D. in statistics. To any new and future Millersville students: "Don't be dead set on what exactly you want to do with your life—college is where you can explore all of your options!"
