Additional Information

Having two siblings who had many graduate school and employment opportunities after graduating from Millersville University, Joe realized his own potential for success and decided to attend Millersville University as well. He was a licensed registered nurse for three years and chose to complete his Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at Millersville because he was looking for a traditional classroom experience that included a lot of interaction with his professors. The professors are one of the highlights of the RN-BSN program for Joe as they take the time to learn about the students on both a professional and personal level.

Joe is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society as well as a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. He works in Critical Care in the Mainline Health Hospital system. Joe has also had experience with patients with chronic illnesses at Lancaster Rehabilitation Hospital that has given him perspective on the effects of such illnesses on both patients and their families.

Following graduation, Joe plans to attend Thomas Jefferson University's Nurse Anesthesia program.  With the education he has received at Millersville University, he feels he has a more thorough understanding of healthcare and the nursing profession as well as its history. His experiences have given him the confidence to be successful in other academic and clinical environments.

Millersville has provided Joe with a great background in his undergraduate studies, and the schedule is flexible for those who must balance academics and work. To prospective RN-BSN students: "If you're looking to broaden your understanding of the profession and open opportunities for career advancement, consider your BSN." Earning one's BSN develops Registered Nurses both professionally and personally.
