Federal Perkins Loans are awarded to degree seeking undergraduate and graduate students. These are low interest loans (5%) for students with exceptional financial need with a maximum amount of $3,000 per academic year. To be considered for a Federal Perkins Loan, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The Office of Financial Aid awards Perkins Loans.
Federal regulations require all first-time Federal Perkins Loan borrowers to participate in Perkins Loan Entrance counseling before receiving the initial disbursement of your loan proceeds. This session is designed to provide the borrower with important information about the Federal Perkins Loan program, including your rights and responsibilities as a borrower.
It is important that you complete this session as soon as possible. You may not use your loan as credit against your bill until this requirement is satisfied. Disbursement of your loan funds will not occur before you complete this session.

When you have entered the required information and it has been accepted, you will see a confirmation page and confirmation number. You should print this page for your records. At that point, you have successfully completed the session and your information has been sent to the Perkins Office at Millersville University.
This Entrance counseling session is provided through a link to www.mapping-your-future.org. Your counseling session should only take about twenty-five minutes to complete. Complete only if the Office of Financial Aid has notified you of a Perkins Loan award.

The Federal government requires that all Perkins Loan borrowers who graduate or drop below half-time enrollment (6 credits per semester) complete an exit counseling session. The session is designed to provide borrowers with important information regarding their rights and responsibilities as well as repayment information.
BEFORE CONTINUING, you will need the following information to complete this session:
The E-Exit process will guide you through each section of this session. After you complete your Exit Interview questions, your loan Disclosure Statement will appear. You will see the repayment terms of your loan and where you will make payments after your grace period ends. After you have reviewed your loan disclosure, you may choose one of three options displayed on the bottom of the screen. One of these options will allow you to print your Disclosure Statement and sign your form electronically. If you select Submit to E-Sign your interview and loan disclosure, you will enter your Social Security number, first two letters of your last name, date of birth and your FAFSA Pin number.
When you have entered the required information and it has been accepted, you will get a confirmation page with a confirmation number. You should print this page for your records. At that point, you have successfully completed the session and your information has been sent to the Perkins Office at Millersville University. The Loan Interview and the Disclosure will be stored on Campus Partners' server so you may view these documents at any time at www.mycampusloan.com.
This E-Exit counseling session is provided by Campus Partners at www.mycampusloan.com and is divided into three sections and should only take thirty minutes to complete. You will need to set up a user name and password the first time you log-in to www.mycampusloan.com. In the future, you can use this site to access information regarding your Perkins loan and update changes to your name and address.
