As an employer you have several ways to connect with students and alumni through Career Services.
- Local businesses have the ability to post employment opportunities for students and alumni of Millersville University at College Central Job Bank through our partnership with College Central Network,
- Interested in hiring students for part-time employment? Career Services sponsors a part-time job fair for local employers. Typically over 500 students and community members attend.
- Connect with students and alumni from 15 central PA schools through Millersville University and the Central PA Employer Consortium, which hosts an annual job fair in February.
- Teacher Recruitment Day, a spring tradition in central Pennsylvania, connects school districts with students and alumni from 10 area colleges and universities. College Central TRD
- In collaboration with faculty, ELCM http://www.millersville.edu/elcm/ coordinates work learning experiences for students. Hundreds of students work in large and small businesses, government offices and human services agencies each year.
- The Civic and Community Engagement & Research Project (CCERP) of Millersville University received a grant to establish the Entrepreneurial Leadership Center (ELC) to sponsor "Infusing Entrepreneurial Thinking throughout the Campus and Community." This project will help enhance the economic development capacity of South Central Pennsylvania by teaching entrepreneurial thinking and skills to graduate and undergraduate students. The initial phase of the project will run from January '09 to January '12.
- The Computer Software Productization Center(CSPC) was established through a University/Business Infrastructure Seed Grant from the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE). Through this program, a team of MU faculty and students in computer science, business, and communication departments assist local entrepreneurs with developing, implementing, and launching new computer software products.
- The The Department of Applied Engineering, Safety, and Technology (AEST) collaborates with local industries to meet their training needs. This is a critical partnership for the University and is achieved through work with community advisory boards.
- The Lancaster Partnership is a collaboration between businesses and the University to provide the means and motivation for underrepresented students within the city of Lancaster to complete their high school diploma, obtain a college education and find professional employment opportunities in the region.
- Graduate Professional Studies (GPS) is committed to providing professional training and education through the Corporate University, which works with organizations and businesses to develop customized training solutions for the needs of the region.
- The Shanghai Executive Training Program provides a high quality educational opportunity for Chinese executives to learn about U.S. business principles and practices, to improve Chinese and U.S. relations and to enhance mutual understanding for successful economic and cultural exchanges in the future with regional businesses.
