For incoming freshman (new admits) - each new student is reviewed for Millersville University Scholarships based on his/her Admissions applications. The Office of Admissions will notify all recipients of his/her awards.

Millersville University Scholarships offered through the Office of Financial Aid

Applications for the 2009-2010 academic year were due on February 13, 2009.  We thank everyone for submitting their applications - we received many and selecting the recipients was not an easy task.  The winners have been selected and are listed below.  Congratulations to all of our recipients!

Preference will be given to students who have fulfilled credit requirements at Millersville University.

If a scholarship refers to credits earned, it is referring to the number of credits earned as of the completion of the Fall 2008 semester.  Please review the following scholarship requirements before applying:

2009-2010 Recipient: Cassandra Squires

  • Be a member of the Senior Class (90+ credits earned) for 2008-2009
  • Have completed 90 credit hours at Millersville University
  • Be a non-traditional female - 24 years of age or older
  • Be a resident of Lancaster County
  • Be in good academic standing
  • Have financial need (as determined by the Office of Financial Aid)

Campus Club Scholarship PDF

2009-2010 Recipients: Michelle Rutter, Dariana Duvergel, & Anna Smyser

  • Be a member of the Junior Class (60-90 credits earned)
  • Maintained a cumulative grade point average of 2.00 or higher
  • Dependent partially or completely upon his or her own efforts for financing a college education.

2009-2010 Recipient: No recipient was selected this year due to lack of required criteria (specifically, demonstrating noteworthy service to the Commuting Student Association) to receive this scholarship.

  • Be a commuting student
  • Demonstrated noteworthy service to the Commuting Student Association
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.00. Preference will be given to students who have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • Have financial need as determined by the Office of Financial Aid
