GFED 686 Gifted Course, Course Reference Number: 3419
June 20-24, 2011 in Stayer Hall on the Millersville University campus.
The Sixth Annual Gifted Course will emphasize the Roads Ahead for Gifted. Information will be presented by Dr. Oliver Dreon and Kevin Bower. Each will share technology opportunities along The Information Highway. Educators attending this course will learn to develop their own evaluation scales for mapping gifted skill levels, be trained with the use of the Socratic Method (Bob Alexander, PaTTON), and learn applications for Enjoying the Journey through Humor in the Classroom (Pauline Chow).
This intense week will encourage new strategies for helping gifted students; build bridges to connect instruction with theory; and provide time for collaboration with professionals on the gifted throughway.

Institute Information
Credits - All participants will receive 3 graduate credits for the summer institute.
Tuition/Fees: Institutes are unique 3 credit graduate courses, that highlight renowned experts in the field. Institutes include breakfast and lunch throughout the day, as well as handouts and materials. Books may be required courses, please check with the university bookstore. Millersville University graduate tuition and fees can be found on the bursars page. In addition, a $165 institute fee is required.
Note: If you have not taken any graduate-level course or workshop at Millersville University within the past 5 years, you must complete the online non-degree admission form; this information is necessary to admit you to the university.
