Accountability That Works
Target Audience: All Employees Explore how individuals and organizations can become more effective when they strive to seek clarity, take ownership, overcome obstacles, and answer for results. The workshop will also cover making clear agreements, managing, renegotiating and updating those agreements in order to achieve success.
Administrative Professionals Guide to Searches
Target Audience: Administrative Professionals Discover the steps required in searches and examine ways to avoid delays and to keep searches on track. Learn the role of the Administrative Professional in the search process and the role of Human Resources.
Building Trust and Respect
Target Audience: Managers, Supervisors, Lead Workers, and Staff with supervisory responsibilities (supervising students and other part time workers), all employees Trust and respect are important concepts in the work environment, as they are closely related to our image of who we are. Trust and respect build upon each other, and both are required for a productive supervisor-employee relationship. This workshop will use video, group discussion and individual activities to explore ways to build trust with employees, demonstrate respect, and sustain a respectful workplace. Topics include: Trusting Those You Hired, Keeping an Open Mind, Fighting for the Team, and Being Open to Feedback.
Business Etiquette
Target Audience: All Employees This workshop will cover modern workplace etiquette including the importance of making introductions, the value of being considerate of other people's feelings and the value of being interested in other people. Topics will also cover: making and receiving apologies, tips for keeping the conversation flowing, basic table manners and email etiquette.
"Can You See What I'm Saying" Active Listening
Target Audience: All Employees Listening is essential to clear, effective communication. Active listening is a very conscious level of listening which requires concentration and practice. This workshop will explore and allow participants time to practice true active listening. Topics include: Listening with Your Full Attention, Body Language, Paraphrasing, and Asking Open-ended Questions.
Campus Active Shooter Awareness
Target Audience: All Employees University Police Chief, Wayne Silcox will outline the Millersville University response to an active shooter and tips on reducing vulnerability to such an action.

Class participants will participate in team simulations that explore team roles and problem solving. Topics include: team vs. individual strengths, the courage to serve, and the courage to assume responsibility.
Delegation by Design
Target Audience: Managers, Supervisors, Lead Workers, and Staff with supervisory responsibilities (supervising students and other part time workers)
Delegation involves much more than randomly distributing work assignments to staff. This workshop will use video, group discussion and individual activities to explore how to use delegation to motivate employees, understand employees reactions to delegation, and how to communicate with employees. Topics include: Taking the Time to Explain, Coaching – Not the Same as Doing, Giving Clear Directions and Providing Support.
Discipline Dynamics

Sometimes, the hardest part of working with conflict is "avoiding avoidance." Time and energy are saved when we choose to deal with issues, rather than ignoring them and hoping they'll go away or somehow resolve themselves. This workshop will use video, group discussion and individual activities to explore handling conflict with calm, careful, solution-oriented questions and statements that can help clarify conflicts and issues.

Management Performance Evaluation Training teaches the process and mechanics of using the State System of Higher Education Management Performance Appraisal Form. The course focuses on the details of establishing, negotiating, tracking and reporting performance goals, objectives and competency development.
