  • Bob LaskowskiRobert A. Laskowski '74

    Bob joined our Board in 2005 and is currently serving as President. Bob graduated from Millersville University in 1974 with a BA in Political Science. He is currently Senior Vice President and Treasurer of OceanFirst Bank in Toms River, New Jersey with over 35 years in banking. He also serves as President of the Middletown Free Public Library Foundation and enjoys bicycling (having recently completed a 300 mile ride from Middletown, NJ to Cape Charles, VA). Bob and Diane, Millersville Class of 1976, are the parents of Robert, Conrad, Marta, and Rebecca.

  • David ThompsonDavid Thompson P'09 P'13

    Dave joined our Board in 2010 and is currently serving as Vice President. He earned his B.S. in Business Administration from the State University of New York in Albany.  An active community volunteer, Dave serves on the Board of Water Street Ministries and is a corporate member of Lancaster Bible College. In his free time, he enjoys golfing and spending time with his family, including his wife Audrey, son Jonathan, Millersville class of 2009, daughter Maria, a current Millersville student, and daughter Abby.

  • Amanda J. Shaw Amanda J. Shaw ’01

    Amanda joined our Board in 2010 and is currently serving as Board Treasurer. She graduated from Millersville University with a BS in Business Administration (Accounting) in 2001. Amanda is the Manager of Financial Operations and Accounts Payable for Lancaster General Health in Lancaster, PA. She enjoys baking and spending time with her husband Brent and children Blake and Samantha.

  • Tamara C. Willis '99, Ph.D.Tamara C. Willis '99, Ph.D.

    Tamara C. Willis '99, Ph.D. joined our Board in 2010 and is currently serving as secretary. Tamara graduated from Millersville University in 1998 with a B.S.E. in elementary and special education. She earned her M.Ed. in Administration and her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from Temple University. She is the Assistant Superintendant for Elementary Education in the School District of the City of York in York, PA and an Adjunct Professor for Temple University’s Graduate Program in Special Education. In her spare time, she enjoys reading mystery novels and traveling abroad. She lives in Harrisburg, PA with her Cock-a-poo, Snickers.

  • Dan BiemesderferDaniel Biemesderfer' 71, Ph.D.

    Dan joined our Board in 2013. He earned his B.A. in Biology from Millersville University in 1971 and his PhD in Cell Biology from Yale University in 1991.  He retired in June 2012 as Associate Professor of Internal Medicine from Yale University School of Medicine, where he led a biomedical research laboratory doing work on ion and protein handling in the kidney.  Since retiring, he is a Visiting Scientist at the University of Connecticut's Marine Science Laboratory in Groton, Connecticut.  An active community volunteer, he is currently President of the Board of Trustees of Cold Spring School in New Haven.  His hobbies include sailing (long-distance ocean racing), music (especially opera), fly fishing, photography, and education.  He is married to Gretchen with a daughter, two sons, and three granddaughters.  

  • Beverly Hacker Breniser '69Beverly Hacker Breniser '69 '73

    Bev joined our Board in 2011. She graduated from Millersville with her BSE in Elementary Education in 1969 and her M.Ed in 1973, also earning her Principal’s Certification from Temple University. She retired from serving as a teacher, gifted program supervisor, and elementary principal and now serves as Executive Director of the Conestoga Valley Education Foundation and as an Adjunct Professor for the Millersville University School of Education. She is an avid baker, known for her original cheesecakes, and enjoys spending time with her husband Darryl at their vacation home in Avalon, New Jersey.

  • Judy CarterJudith C. Carter '60 '76M

    A native of Lancaster county, Judith C. Carter  joined our Board in 2013. Judy received his B.S. and M.S. in Education from Millersville University in 1960 and 1976 respectively. Now retired, she both taught and served as Media Coordinator for Penn Manor School District.  She is an active volunteer with the Friends of Ganser Library group at Millersville, chaired her 50th reunion committee for the Class of 1960, and volunteers in fundraising for the public library in Lewes, Delaware near her second home.  Her hobbies include reading, boating, fishing, and travel.  She and her husband, Don, have three daughters and eight grandchildren.

  • Ximena Catepillan, Ph.D.Ximena Catepillan, Ph.D.

    Ximena joined our Board in 2011. Dr. Catepillan received her Ph.D. in Mathematics from The University of Iowa in 1991. She is currently a Mathematics Professor at Millersville University. In her spare time, she enjoys dancing and studying the mathematics and science of the Pre-Columbian Americas. She is the proud parent of Paulina Melin, Millersville Class of 2000 and Sebastian Melin, who is currently studying at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia.

  • Ben Del TitoBenjamin J. Del Tito, Jr., PhD '77

    Ben joined our Board in 2013. He graduated from Millersville with his BA in Biology, his M.S. in Biochemistry from Western Kentucky University, and his Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Lehigh University. He has over 25 years in drug development, quality, and regulatory experience in biopharmaceutical companies. He is currently Executive Vice President for Regulatory Affairs and Project Management at Auxilium Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in Chesterbrook, PA. Ben enjoys music (both playing and listening), cycling, and spending time at his home at the beach in North Carolina with his wife Anna. Ben is the proud father of three daughters, Ashley, Gina, and Lauren.

  • Kenneth P. DeLucca, Ph.D.Kenneth P. DeLucca, Ph.D.

    Ken joined our Board in 2008. Dr. DeLucca got his B.S. from Montclair State University in New Jersey, his M.S. from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, and his Ph.D. from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He is a Professor in the Department of Industry & Technology at Millersville University. He enjoys researching the history of technology and repairing old mechanical (wind-up) clocks and kayaking. Ken is married to Diana and his step-daughter Julia is a current Millersville student. Two cats round out the family.

  • Robert A. Frick, Ed.D., '66 '69Robert A. Frick, Ed.D., '66 '69

    Dr. Frick joined our Board in 2011. He graduated with a B.S. from Millersville University in 1966, M.Ed. from Millersville in 1969, and received his Ed.D. from Temple University in 1979. During his 45-year career at Lampeter-Strasburg School District, he served as a teacher, a principal, the director of elementary education, the assistant superintendent, and lastly as the Superintendent of Schools from 1996-2011.  He has also served as adjunct faculty for Temple, Penn State, Millersville, Immaculata, and Shippensburg.  He is a current member of the Millersville University Council of Trustees. His hobbies include golfing, hunting, fishing, and reading. His family includes his wife Bonnie, Millersville class of 1966, their son John, Millersville class of 1998 and 2002, daughter-in-law, Erin, Millersville M.Ed. 2000, and grandchildren Ethan and Amelia.

  • Richard A. Glenn, Ph.D.Richard A. Glenn, Ph.D.

    Dr. Glenn joined our Board in 2007. He received his B.A. in English from Carson-Newman College in Jefferson City, TN, in 1990, his M.A. in 1991 and a Ph.D. in 1995 in Political Science from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He is Professor and Chair in the Department of Government and Political Affairs at Millersville University. His hobbies include running, baseball, and reading. He and his wife Lorena are parents to sons Ryan (age 10) and Andrew (age 8).

  • Jan L. Graybill '80Jan L. Graybill '80

    Jan joined our Board in 2009. He earned his B.S. in Business Administration from Millersville in 1980. He currently manages Legacy Planning Partner’s Allentown, PA offices while serving as the firm’s Vice Chairman. Legacy Planning Partners is a comprehensive Financial Services Company with offices located in Allentown, Doylestown, Plymouth Meeting, West Chester, PA and Stuart, FL. His hobbies include travel, golf and American History. Jan’s spouse, Alisa McCambridge Graybill is also a 1980 Millersville Graduate. They have two daughters, Jenna and Angela who are key staff members at Legacy Planning’s Allentown office.

  • Albert C. Hoffman, Ph.D.Albert C. Hoffman, Ph.D.

    Dr. Hoffman, joined our Board in 2007. He earned his B.S. from Bloomsburg State University in 1964 and both his M.S. and Ph.D. in Genetics from North Carolina State University. He is Dean Emeritus of the School of Science and Mathematics at Millersville University.

  • Sarah HollandSarah Holland (Expected Class of 2015)

    Sarah joined our Board as a Student Director in 2013. She is a sophomore and a member of the Student Senate.  Originally from York, PA, Sarah is majoring in Science Education.  In her spare time, she enjoys sports, reading, and playing the oboe.

  • Patrick HollowellPatrick Hollowell (Expected Class of 2013)

    Patrick joined our Board as a Student Director in 2011. He is a senior and member of the Student Senate. Originally from Montgomery County, PA, Patrick is majoring in Economics with a concentration in Finance.

  • Anne Jackson '78Anne Jackson '78

    Anne joined our Board in 2012. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Spanish from Millersville in 1978 and went on to earn her Master's in Education from Penn State. She is currently employed as a Risk Control Consultant for RCM&D, Mechanicsburg, PA, and is a member of the America Society of Safety Engineers. In her spare time, she enjoys wine tasting, working out, and cheering on her favorite teams. Anne is a proud mother to Liz and Amy, Millersville Class of 2008, step-mother to Jonathan, and grandmother to three.

    Tom joined our Board in 2007. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with his B.S. in Psychology from Boston University in 1981. Tom is Vice President for Investments at UBS Financial Services, Inc. in Philadelphia. He enjoys skiing, real estate renovation, gourmet cooking, and spending time with his dogs. He and his wife Lois are proud parents of their son Andrew, Millersville class of 2011 and daughters Brittany, Eliza, and Grace.

  • Eric G. Liddell '71Eric G. Liddell '71

    Eric joined our Board in 2010. He earned his B.A. in Biology from Millersville in 1971. He is the Retired President of Phillips Graphic Finishing, Inc. in Manheim, PA. His hobbies include tennis, scuba diving, flying airplanes and gliders, and skiing. He and his wife Rochelle Smith Liddell '70 recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary.

  • F. Perry Love, PhD '58F. Perry Love, PhD '58

    Perry joined our Board in 2012. He received his Bachelor's degree from Millersville State Teacher's College in 1958, and went on to earn his Master's in Education at Duke University and his Doctorate in Education at the University of Pennsylvania. He joined the Faculty of Millersville University in 1967 as an Educational Methods Professor and worked here until retiring in 1996 serving in a number of roles, including Associate Provost, Dean Continuing Education, and Interim Dean of Education. In his spare time, Perry enjoys following his granddaughters' activities, traveling, making mats for his wife's watercolor paintings. He and his wife, Catherine (Hill), Millersville Class of 1960, are the proud parents of Steve and Carol, Millersville Class of 1990, and proud grandparent of Taylor and Kelsey.

  • Liz Martin Liz Martin

    Liz joined our Board in 2012. She received her Bachelor of Science in Business with an English minor from Elizabethtown College. She is currently the President and Owner of Martin Insurance Agency in Millersville. In addition, Liz started a grass-fed blank angus beef operation on Ironstone Spring Farm, her fifth-generation family farm in Manor Township. Liz is a recipient of the 2006 Athena Award, a 2009 Pennsylvania's Best 50 Women in Business and the 2011 Lancaster Chamber of Commerce Small Business Person of the Year. Liz is very active in her community and is a member of the Insurance Agents and Brokers Association, Pennsylvania Sustained Agriculture (PASA) and a board member of the Lancaster Rotary Club, YWCA Lancaster, and the Farm & Home Center Foundation. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, golf, hiking, and yoga.

  • William B. McIlwaine, PhDWilliam B. McIlwaine, PhD

    Bill rejoined our Board in 2012. He received his Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctorate from Boston University, and pursued additional studies at Penn State in Earth Sciences and Harvard University in Nuclear Science. He taught biology, chemistry, and general sciences at the high school level before joining the faculty of Millersville University. At Millersville, Dr. McIllwaine became the first department chair for the Department of Earth and Space Science, Chairman of the Department of Elementary and Early Childhood Education, and Professor Emeritus of Science. His work has been featured in numerous publications, and he developed a program in student teaching for the Navajo Indian reservation. Bill is active in the community, serving on the Pennsylvania Board of Nursing Home Administrators and is a member of the Millersville University Council of Trustees. Bill and his late wife, Melva, are the parents of David, Douglas '85, Deborah (Shenk), and Meredyth (Taylor).

  • Barry E. Miller '77Barry E. Miller '77

    Barry joined our Board in 2009. He graduated from J.P. McCaskey High School in 1972, earned his B.A. in Economics from Millersville University in 1977, and attended the BAI Graduate School of Bank Management in 1987. He is Managing Director of Retail Banking with Susquehanna Bank in Lancaster, PA and has been with the bank since 1974. His hobbies include travel, volunteering, cooking, reading, and fitness. He and his wife Debra are parents to Lauren Bergman and Jason Leed.

  • Bob PattersonRobert Patterson

    Bob is a Life Director on the Millersville University Foundation Board.  He earned her B.S. (magna cum laude) in Economics from Franklin & Marshall College and did additional graduate coursework at both Temple University and Harvard University School of Public Health.  Both a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Global Management Accountant, Bob served as CIO for the Pennsylvania Treasury Department and Senior Vice President and CFO of Pennsylvania Blue Shield prior to his retirement.  A longtime Lancaster county resident, he is an active community volunteer with LancasterHistory.org, Lancaster General Health, and with Millersville University as a Millersville University Foundation Board member from 2000-2010 and Foundation Board President from 2006-2010 as well as a member of the Soar to Greatness Campaign Cabinet which raised $85 million for Millersville University.  He also serves as a supervisor for West Lampeter Township.  In his spare time, he enjoys playing bridge, building radio-controlled model planes, and gardening.  Bob and his late wife, Dorothy, have a son, Craig, daughter, Tracy, and a grandson, Brian.

  • Gerry RobinsonGerald S. Robinson

    Gerry joined our Board in 2013. He earned his B.A. in Economics and his Juris Doctorate from Howard University in Washington, DC.  He is a founding partner of Robinson & Geraldo P.C. and serves on the Board of Arbitrators and as Custody Conciliator in the Dauphin County Court of Common Pleas.  In addition, he is a current member of the Millersville University Council of Trustees.  He is actively involved with a number of community and civic organizations, including Gretna Theater, the Urban League of Lancaster County, the March of Dimes, and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission.  Longtime residents of Lancaster County, Gerry and his wife Yvette are the proud parents of daughter Tiffany and son Robbie.
