MAT Information

On Test Day

Candidates are encouraged to arrive no later than fifteen minutes before the scheduled test time. Late arrivals may not be admitted to the test room. Two forms of valid I.D. with signature and photo (e.g. Driver's License, Student I.D., Passport, etc.) are required.

Scoring Information

An unofficial printed score report will be provided to you following the conclusion of the test.

You will receive your personal Score Report in two to three weeks from the date of your test. Your personal Score Reports will provide you with the scaled score and percentile ranks you received on the MAT. The MAT scaled scores currently range from 200 to 600 with a mean (average) of 400. The percentile ranks on your personal Score Report indicate the percentage of examinees in the norm group (2003 Norms) who received a scaled score lower than yours. Percentile rank ranges from 1 to 99.

Your personal Score Report also includes a listing of the recipient schools you chose to receive your scores. Official Score Reports are typically received by the designated school(s) two to three weeks after your test date. Any questions regarding the reporting of scores after the test date should be directed to Pearson.
