Tuesdays & Wednesdays, September 8th – November 4th @ 4 p.m. – 6 p.m., Behind Pucillo Gymnasium
The ropes course climbing wall will be open to any current Millersville student at no charge. No registration is required; just show up. Kickoff for the open climb is September 8th from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Comedian Dan Ahdoot from Comedy Central

Dan has been featured on Comedy Central’s Premium Blend and was a guest at the Comedy Central South Beach Comedy Festival. Dan was a finalist on Season 2 of NBCs Last Comic Standing. Wellness Fair
Tuesday, September 22nd @ 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., Quad
Join community and campus vendors to learn more about your personal health. The theme of the fair is “Get Out and Connect” which highlights the social dimension of wellness. For BORED credit, obtain a vendor listing at the registration table, receive signatures of 5 vendors indicating you visited their table, complete the program evaluation at the bottom of the vendor listing, and return to the registration table if between the hours of 1-3pm. During the hours of 11am-1pm, return the form to the food tent. By obtaining the signatures of 5 vendors you are entitled to free lunch from 11am-1pm. Examined Life: Philosophy is in the Streets (Humanities Film Series)

Astra Taylor updates Socrates’ idea that “the unexamined life is not worth living” by filming modern-day philosophers discussing current issues like consumerism and ethics, man’s relation to nature, animal rights, revolution, postmodern anxiety, globalization, disability rights, and the role of philosophy in our postmodern world. Featured theorists include Cornel West, Avital Ronell, Peter Singer, Kwarne Anthony Appiah, Martha Nussbaum, Michael Hardt, Slavoj Zizek, and Judith Butler with disability-rights activist Sunaura Taylor.
Poker & Wii Tournament

Come participate in the Poker and Wii Tournament; growing intramural sports on campus! No gambling allowed. You don't have to be 18 to participate just know how to play! Have fun, laugh at yourself and compete for an intramural championship shirt. To compete in the second day of the tournament (September 29th) you have to survive the first day! Walk A Mile in Her Shoes

On-site registration and opening ceremonies begin at 5pm. Walk begins at 6pm
Join in the first ever Walk A Mile in Her Shoes at Millersville University and stand up to end domestic violence. For BORED credit, volunteer for the event or participate in the walk. Movie: Darius Goes West

Reframing Autism III: Featured Speaker Will Turnbull

In this special event Will Turnbull, the first student with mid-spectrum autism to graduate from Millersville University, returns to campus to share his perspectives on autism and other topics. The event will include a documentary of Will’s college graduation, with reflections from teachers and friends. Complements the Common Reading: The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time.
