Important Dates

Fall 2014 Academic Calendar

Tuesday, September 2- Last day to drop or add a class (by 11:59 pm)

Wednesday, September 3- W grade period begins, Last day to submit a request to take a course on a pass/fail or audit basis (registrar's office by 4pm)

Monday, September 22- Winter web schedule and other registration information available online

Thursday, September 26- Application deadline for Fall degree (master's degree) must be filed in the Graduate & Professional Studies Office

Wednesday, October 8- Registration for Winter 2015 begins at noon, Spring 2015 web schedule & other registration info available online

Friday, October 10- Fall Recess begins after last class

Wednesday, October 15- Fall Recess ends at 7am

Friday-Saturday October 17-18- Homecoming

Friday, October 31- Last day to withdraw from a course and receive a W grade (by 4:30pm Registrar's office)

Friday, October 31-Saturday, November 1- Family Symposium

Tuesday, November 4-Graduate degree-seeking registration for Spring 2015 term

Wednesday, November 5- Graduate non-degree seeking registration for Spring 2015 term

Tuesday, November 25- Thanksgiving recess begins after last class

Monday, December 1- Thanksgiving recess ends at 7am

Monday, December 8- Summer class schedules are available to view on web

Monday, December 8- Last day for grad students to make up a Spring or Summer 2014 incomplete grade for graduate course

Monday, December 8- Deadline for submitting graduate thesis and grades for research reports to the Graduate and Professional Studies office

Wednesday, December 10- MAX academic transcript and Degree Audit will not be available to students beginning at 6am

Tuesday, December 9-Saturday, December 13- Evaluation period--Special class schedule

Sunday, December 14- Fall 2014 term ends

Wednesday, December 17- Deadline for faculty to submit final grades for Fall 2014

Friday, December 19- Fall 2014 grades are available to students via MAX after 4:30pm, Degree Audit available to students

NOTE: Academic dismissal notices will be sient to students' email and home address on or before JANUARY 2

Withdraw-Withdraw dates vary by class.  Please contact RO for information on withdrawing from a certain section.

Monday, December 15- Winter term begins

Friday, January 9- Application deadline for Winter graduation

Sunday, January 18- Winter term ends after last final examination

Monday, January 19- Holiday (University is closed)

Wednesday, January 21- Final grades for Winter term courses are due from faculty at 11pm

Friday, January 23- Final grades for Winter term available to students via MAX after 12 pm

Spring Important Dates

Thursday, January 15- Orientation for newly admitted graduate students

Tuesday, January 20- Spring 2015 courses begin

Monday, January 26- Last day to drop a course in the Spring 2015 semester without a grade

Monday, January 26- Last day to add a course in the Spring 2015 semester

Friday, April 3- Last day to withdraw from a course and receive a "W" grade
