Financial Aid

The Office of Financial Aid offers professional staff to help you and your family find the best way to finance your education. Student financial aid programs are available for full-time students who pursue 12 credits or more a semester, students who take fewer than 12 credits a semester, eligible degree or certificate programs, and day and/or evening credit courses.

You can be considered for many sources of federal, state and university financial aid. Every student who applies to Millersville University is reviewed for eligibility for an MU scholarship, too. The best way to start the process is to complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (known as FAFSA) or link to Financial Aid for more information.

Other sources of aid come in the form of alternative loans, private sources, like scholarships, tuition waivers, employee assistance programs, Veterans Educational Benefits, Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (for students with disabilities) and scholarship databases. You will have to do some research on these.

Millersville University also offers the Millersville Installment Payment Plan (MIPP), which can be arranged through the Bursar's Office. MIPP lets you make regularly scheduled payments for all or a portion of the annual costs in 12 monthly payments. To help you budget these costs, you decide how much of tuition, fees, and room and board costs you want to pay – and no interest is charged.

The only cost is a $40 non-refundable application fee during each enrollment period.
