If you are applying directly from high school or have taken fewer than 12 transferable credits, you are considered a first-year student, for purposes of admission criteria.
Millersville University has rolling admission, which means we review applications throughout the year. Generally, students will hear from us within 4-6 weeks from the time the application is complete. You are encouraged to apply early in your senior year of high school.
Each year, Millersville University enrolls about 1,300 new freshmen. Our typical first-year student has achieved a solid B average in a college preparatory curriculum and has SAT or ACT scores that are above average. We will consider the competitiveness of your high school, the level of courses taken, and grade trends from year to year. We may ask for first quarter or mid-year grades from your senior year if they are needed to boost your chances for admission.
The materials required for admission as a first-year student are listed below:

"Working on campus is a great way to make a lot of new friends. One of the reasons I decided to come here was because the people are so friendly. Although the biggest reason I chose Millersville was because of the small class sizes. You really develop close relationships with your professors. I love it here!"
