Audition Rules and Requirements

You must be able to prove at the time of your audition that:

  • You are minimally 18 years old, as of August 31, 2007 (which means you were born on or before August 31, 1989);
  • A MU student (MU campus ID required);
  • A valid driver’s license or passport.

If you are asked to participate for the semi-final/final round of the competition, you must be able to demonstrate that you do not have any of the following:

  • A contract for talent representation (for example: a talent agent or manager); and/or
  • A music recording contract.

Due to time constraints, competitors will be limited to 75 individuals in each category (alumni or student) at time of audition screening. If contestant is asked for a call-back during the audition day, contestant must stay in building of auditions until judges call the respective contestant back into said audition room. (Contestant will return to holding room, Student Memorial Center, Reighard Multipurpose Room, for a period of time, not to exceed 2 hours after initial audition.)
