MILLERSVILLE UNIVERSITY ANNOUNCES GREG COLBY AS NEW FOOTBALL COACH
March 27, 2008 – Millersville University of Pennsylvania athletic director Peg A. Kauffman has announced that, after a nationwide search that included 71 applicants, Greg Colby has been hired as the new head football coach of the Marauders.  Colby takes the place of Joe Trainer, who resigned in December to become defensive coordinator coach at the University of Rhode Island. DEFENSIVE BACKS BRANDON SHELTON AND MARCUS BANKS NAMED TO 2007 FOOTBALL GAZETTE ALL-NORTHEAST REGION TEAMS
Jan. 14 – Defensive back Brandon Shelton (sr. New Oxford/Gettysburg) was named to the Football Gazette All-Northeast Region First Team on Friday along with fellow defensive back Marcus Banks (sr. Philadelphia/George Washington), who was named to the third team.

MARAUDER HEAD FOOTBALL COACH TRAINER RESIGNS, RANKIN NAMED INTERIM HEAD COACH
December 21, 2007 - Millersville University of Pennsylvania's athletic director, Peg Kauffman, announced today that head football coach Joe Trainer has resigned the position effective January 2, 2008. Trainer, who was appointed the 19th head coach in Millersville University football history in March 2005, will become defensive coordinator at the University of Rhode Island. MILLERSVILLE’S DEFENSIVE BACK SHELTON NAMED TO ALL-REGION FOOTBALL TEAM
November 28 – Millersville cornerback Brandon Shelton (sr. New Oxford/Gettysburg) was named to the Daktronics Division II Football All-Northeast Region Team on Wednesday after posting 63 tackles and 14 passes defended, which led the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC). (full story)

NINE MILLERSVILLE FOOTBALL PLAYERS NAMED TO ALL-PSAC TEAMS; SMITH WINS ROOKIE OF THE YEAR

November 10 - Kutztown quarterback Kyle Spotts' eight-yard touchdown run in the third overtime gave the Golden Bear's a wild 26-23 win over Millersville at Beimesderfer Stadium's Chryst Field on Saturday in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division action.
