Millersville University Women's Tennis Defeats Indiana ( Pa. ), 5-4

March 30, 2007, Indiana, Pa. – The Millersville University women's tennis team picked up its first win of the spring semester by edging out host Indiana (Pa.), 5-4, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) cross-over match..

In doubles, the team of Melissa Berg (jr. Fleetwood/Fleetwood) and Christy Lilli (sr. Lancaster/Cumberland Valley) won its team by a score of 8-4. Kari Arrants (so. North East, Md./Tome) and Lindsay Knappenberger (so. Jim Thorpe/Jim Thorpe) picked up an 8-1 victory.

Berg, Arrants and Knappenberger were also winners in their singles matches. Berg dropped just one game in a 6-0, 6-1 win. Arrants was a winner by the same score. Knappenberger was a 6-4, 6-1 winner.

Millersville (3-2) is in action on Sunday, April 1 at Slippery Rock in PSAC cross-over match.
