MILLERSVILLE MEN’S SOCCER PLAYERS MCLAUGHLIN AND LYON WIN POSTSEASON AWARDS
Nov., 6, 2007 – Forward Sean McLaughlin (jr. Holland/Council Rock South) and defender Dave Lyon (sr. Mehcanicsburg/Cumberland Valley), both of Millersville University, have won postseason awards.
McLaughlin was named to the Division II Men’s Soccer Northeast Region Second Team on Tuesday after posting a team-high 25 points (nine goals and seven assists) this season. McLaughlin, the Marauders’ all-time leader in both points (52) and goals (20), was also named to the All-PSAC First Team on Tuesday. McLaughlin also made the All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) team as a second team selection after posting nine goals during his 2005 rookie season.
Lyons, a shut-down defender who also scored a game-winning goal this season, made the All-PSAC Second Team for the first time.
