HOSTETTER TAKES THIRD AT MAT TOWN OPEN

November 24, 2007 – Junior Jarrett Hostetter (Oxford/Oxford) took home a third place finish in the 157-pound weight class at the Mat Town Open this past weekend held in Lock Haven, Pa.

Hostetter won back-to-back decision to start the day, earning a 7-2 decision over Beau Fisher of Virginia and then a 14-2 decision over John Kaloust of Binghamton.  Hostetter’s third match of the day proved to be too much as he was pinned by eventual champion Kody Hamrah of NC State at the 2:46 mark. 

Hostetter would rebound in the consolation matches earning an 8-4 decision over Kyle Artusio of Virginia and then defeating Derek Sickles of Columbia 2-1 in the third-place match.

The Marauders will hit the mats again next Saturday when they travel to Lewisburg, Va. for a tri-meet with Bucknell and George Mason Universities.
