In the opening 200-yard medley relay, Motter, McDade and Johnson teamed up with Becca Laufer (so. Mountville/Hempfield) to claim victory in a time of 2:02.30. Millersville’s second team, made up of Lauren Jendzurski (fr. Collegeville/Spring-Ford), Stephanie Mouthann (fr. North Wales/North Penn), Ana Martinez (jr. Motter would continue to rack up points for the Marauders finishing first in both the 50 and 100-yard freestyle events.
Motter finished the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 26.85, less than a second faster than Martinez who grabbed second. Motter capped her impressive day by finishing the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 59.05 seconds.
McDade, an individual medley specialist, won the 200-yard IM in a time of 2:21.06 for her second win of the afternoon.
Backstroke specialist Johnson continued to dominate the pool in the backstroke, winning with a time of 1:04.36. Teammates Amanda Wetzler (so. Hummelstown/Elizabethtown) and Jendzurski placed second and third in the event, respectively.
Rapp, the final two-race winner for the Marauders, claimed victory in both the 200-yard freestyle and 1650-yard freestyle events.
The Lady Marauders improve to 3-1 in dual meets this season and after a long break will be back at it Saturday, January 12, when they host Kutztown University for a 1:00 p.m. start. Recently, at the Golden Bear Invite hosted by Kutztown, the Golden Bears were the only team to score higher than the Marauders in the nine-team field.
