KUTZTOWN SWIMMERS DROP HOST MILLERSVILLE, 122-78
Jan. 12 – Kara Rapp (jr. Myerstown, Pa./Lititz Christian HS) won the 1,000-yard freestyle, but Millersville had trouble claiming more first-place finishes in a 122-78 loss to visiting Kutztown (6-2) on Saturday afternoon.
Rapp, named PSAC Swimmer of the Week earlier this season, won the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:16.45. The junior swimmer also recorded a third-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:33.75.
Sarah Johnson (sr. Bloomsburg, Pa./Bloomsburg HS) recorded two second-place finishes and a third-place finish for the Marauders. Johnson took second in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:03.05 and was a part of the second-place 200-yard medley relay team that also included Katie McDade (jr. Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan HS), Becca Laufer (so. Mountville, Pa./Hempfield HS ) and Amanda Wetzler (so. Hummelstown, Pa./Elizabethtown HS). The team finished the relay in 1:58.69.
The Marauders (3-2) will host East Stroudsburg this Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m.
