MILLERSVILLE GRAPPLERS TAKE EARLY LEAD BUT FALL TO KUTZTOWN

 Feb. 7 – The Millersville University wrestling team held a 13-6 lead over Kutztown at the midway point but dropped the remaining five matches in 28-13 loss against the Golden Bears on Thursday.

John Andel (jr. Red Lion, Pa./Red Lion HS) pinned Eddie Harris at 5:47 mark of the 125-pound bout to give Millersville a quick 6-0 lead. After dropping a decision at 133 pounds, the Marauders (3-9-1) responded with Mike Greck's (fr. Nazareth , Pa. /Nazareth HS) 14-3 major decision over Jamie Soupik for a 10-3 lead.

The Golden Bears won another decision at 149 pounds before Jarrett Hostetter ( Oxford , Pa. /Oxford HS) recorded his 14 th consecutive win, a 5-2 decision over Doug Zeek at 157 pounds.

Kutztown then took control with three consecutive decisions, a forfeit victory at 197 pounds and a pinfall win in the heavyweight bout.

Millersville returns to action this Saturday when the Marauders host Army and Delaware Valley in a tri-meet that begins at noon.
