MILLERSVILLE WRESTLERS BEAT PRINCETON

Feb. 15 – The Millersville University wrestling team snapped a four-match losing streak on Friday with a 28-18 victory at Princeton on Friday night.

The Marauders (4-11-1) won six of 10 matches, including four straight in weights 133 through 157.

Freshman Matt Leggett put the Marauders on the board with a 4-2 decision over Robert Benitez at 133 pounds.

After forfeit wins by Mike Greck (fr. Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth HS) and Cody Becker (sr. Spring Grove, Pa./Spring Grove HS), Jarrett Hostetter (jr. Oxford, Pa./Oxford HS) won his 17 th consecutive match with a 13-1 major decision over Matt Katz at 157 pounds to make the score 19-6.

MU's Jeremy Brooks (so. Jersey Shore , Pa. /Jersey Shore HS) pinned Mike Alvarez in 5:44 at 174 pounds and Ray Bennett (Fr. Clarks Summitt, Pa./Abington Heights HS) added a 7-3 decision at 197 pounds.

Millersville returns to action Fri., Feb. 22 at Franklin and Marshall for its final dual meet of the regular season.
