MILLERSVILLE’S PARKER NAMED TO EAST REGION FIRST TEAM

March 10 – Guard Charlie Parker (sr. Fawn Grove, Pa./Kennard-Dale HS) has been selected to the Daktronics NCAA Division II All-East Men’s Basketball First Team on Monday after posting another fine season for the Marauders.

Parker averaged 16.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 2.7 steals per game for the 20-9 Millersville men’s basketball team. Parker also led the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) in minutes played (36.93 per game) and assist-to-turnover ratio (1.8). He ranks 10th in NCAA Division II in steals per game.

Parker was selected the All-East Region second team last season.

Parker is 16 points away from becoming Millersville’s second all-time leading scorer. He currently has 1,913 career points and will look to add to that total on Saturday when MU takes on Edinboro in a first-round NCAA Tournament contest.
