MILLERSVILLE TENNIS TEAMS DROP CONFERENCE OPENERS AT KUTZTOWN

April 5 – The Millersville University men's and women's tennis teams both lost big in their conference openers at Kutztown on Saturday.

The men's team (0-4, 0-1 PSAC) was shut out 9-0 while the women's team (1-6, 0-1 PSAC East) lost 8-1.

MU's lone winner was Lindsay Knappenberger (jr. Jim Thorpe, Pa. /Jim Thorpe HS), who defeated Kutztown's Tess Wright 6-4, 6-1.

It was the second win of the season for the Kutztown men's team (2-6, 2-0 PSAC). The Golden Bears' women's team is now 4-5 overall and 1-0 in the PSAC East.

The MU men's team plays Sunday at Philadelphia University while the women's team has off Wednesday when it hosts West Chester at 2 p.m. The Millersville men's team also plays West Chester at home that day.
