MILLERSVILLE'S JANELLE MRAKOVICH NAMED PSAC EAST PITCHER OF THE WEEK
April 14 - Millersville University's Janelle Mrakovich (jr. Middletown, Pa./Bishop McDevitt HS) was named East Division Pitcher of the Week for softball by the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) on Monday.
Mrakovich posted a 2-1 record for the Marauders, picking up complete game victories while striking out 20 batters and recording a 0.35 ERA through 20 innings pitched. Mrakovich fanned 10 batters and allowed no earned runs in a 4-1 win over East Stroudsburg then gave up four hits and no earned runs in 3-0 win over Bloomsburg.
The shutout against the Huskies was their first in 12 conference games and just the second in 35 games this season. Her only loss of the week came against division-leading Kutztown, where she lost a 1-0 decision and gave up just three hits.
