MILLERSVILLE UNIVERSITY WOMEN'S FIELD HOCKEY FALLS TO #1 BLOOMSBURG, 10-0
September 7, 2007 Bloomsburg, Pa. The Bloomsburg University women’s field hockey team got four goals from forward Jamie Vanartsdalen en route to a 10-0 win over Millersville University in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action Saturday afternoon.
The Huskies took the lead 9:37 into the game on a goal by forward Amanda Deloy. They would find the net four more times to take a 5-0 lead into the locker room. Other goal scorers for the Huskies included Liz Macready, Tara Bourke, Whitney Miller, Samantha Kropa and Brieann Wolfe. The Huskies outshot the Marauders, 30-3.
In goal for the Marauders, starter Jessica Heckman (so. Harrisburg/Central Dauphin) stopped ten shots while her replacement Kristen Holden (fr. Cookstown, N.J./Northern Burlington Reg.) stopped seven.
The Marauders are now 0-3 overall (0-2 PSAC). Millersville will take the field again Tuesday, September 11 when it heads to Kutztown for a 7 p.m. start.
