MU WOMEN'S TENNIS TEAM ROMPS CHEYNEY

April 17 – The Millersville women's tennis team outscored visiting Cheyney 96-2 on Thursday in picking up its second win of the season.

The Marauders (2-7, 1-2 PSAC) won all six singles matches and all three doubles matches in straight sets to record the 9-0 victory.

MU No. 1 singles player Kari Arrants (jr. Northeast, Md./Tome HS) picked up her team best sixth singles win of the year and picked up an 8-0 win in the No. 1 doubles match along with teammate Andrea Konas (so. Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield HS). MU's top combo is now a team best 4-2 overall this season.

Other Millersville singles match winners on the day were Jackie Jaffe (so. Newtown, Pa./Council Rock HS), Konas, Jenny Habecker (jr. Shillington, Pa./Governor Mifflin HS), Lindsay Knappenberger (jr. Jim Thorpe, Pa./Jim Thorpe HS) and Hannah Holley.

Habecker and Knappenberger teamed to record their first doubles win of the year.

The Marauders resume action tomorrow at home against Harford with a 2 p.m. start time.
