MU took the momentum into their half of the second. Enrique Arroyo (sr. Bensalem, Pa./Dominican Univ.) hit a shot off the wall in left center to plate Cody Wile (jr. Lancaster, Pa./Penn Manor HS) and Brett Rhoads (sr. Landisville, Pa./Hempfield HS), making the score 3-2.

MU made another clutch defensive play in the fifth when Kent Gerdes (so. Lititz , Pa. / Mansfield Univ. ) dug James Quigley's double out of the rightfield corner hit cutoff man Derek Kline (fr. Cleona, Pa./Shippensburg Univ.), who relayed home to catcher Miles Gallagher (so. Lancaster, Pa./ Univ. of Pittsburgh) to gun out Mike Kacelowicz for the third out.

Kutztown flashed some leather as well in the fifth when second baseman Kacelowicz robbed Ryan McCormick (fr. West Chester, Pa./West Chester Henderson HS) on a flare to shallow right field

Jeff Kistle put the Golden Bears up 4-2 with a sixth-inning solo shot over the high wall in right. KU also added a run in the seventh.

KU starting pitcher Derick Reis scattered six hits over 7-2/3 innings and recorded four strikeouts to record the win.
