MILLERSVILLE UNIVERSITY MEN’S AND WOMEN’S CROSS COUNTRY TEAMS FINISH SEVENTH AT PAUL SHORT INVITATIONAL
September 28, 2007, Bethlehem, Pa. – The Millersville University men’s
and women’s cross country teams both brought home seventh place finishes
at the Paul Short Invitational hosted by Lehigh University on Friday.
Brittany Zuver (so. York/Central York) led the women’s team with a sixth
place finish. Her time was 23:06 over the six kilometer course. Rachel Hull was
25 seconds back of Zuver (23:31) and crossed the finish line in 22nd. Jessica
Leddy (jr. Landisville/Hempfield) had a time of 24:05 and a 40th place finish.
Brittany Arnold (fr. Annville/Annville-Cleona) was 73rd with a time of 24:41.
Samantha Mulvey (fr. Reading/Home School) and Jess Jacobson (so. Newark, Del./Newark) finished
together with a time of 24:57. They were in 92nd place.
On the men’s side, Andrew Butler (sr. Clifton Heights/Upper Darby) was
the highest finishing Marauder. Butler completed the eight kilometer course in
26:37 for a 24th place finish. Adam Malloy (sr. Ephrata/Ephrata) and Ben Brewer
(sr. Ambridge/Ambridge) had times of 26:44 and 26:47, respectively. Malloy’s
finish was 28th, while Brewer’s was 32nd. Mike Terzyk (jr. Churchville/Council
Rock S.) crossed the line in 80th place with a time of 27:47. Matt Simkins (fr.
Macungie/Emmaus) and Jeff Rafach (fr. Hanover Twp./Hanover) were right behind
Terzyk to finish tied for fifth on the team and 85th overall with a time of 27:49.
Millersville’s next event is the Delaware Invitational on Saturday, October 13 at 10:30 a.m.
