MILLERSVILLE UNIVERSITY WOMEN'S SOCCER BLANKED BY HOST KUTZTOWN

Saturday, October 6, 2007 Kutztown , Pa. – The Kutztown University women's soccer team tallied a single goal in both halves on their way to a 2-0 victory over visiting Millersville University in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference action.

Carolynne Kahl put the Golden Bears ahead early on by finding the back of the net just under ten minutes into the contest off of a pass from teammate Kim Kelty. Kelly Bushe added a goal with just under 17 minutes left to put the game away for Kutztown.

The Golden Bear offense managed to fire 11 shots on Millersville goalkeeper Karrine Riggins (sr. Millersville/Penn Manor) who finished the day with nine saves. Kutztown goalkeeper Stephanie Bonsky made two saves on her way to a shutout.

The loss drops Millersville to 1-10-2 (1-6-2 PSAC East) overall.

The Marauders will take the field again this Wednesday, October 10 when they host Bloomsburg University beginning at 5:00 p.m.
