STONER'S THREE ASSISTS HELP SLIPPERY ROCK WOMEN'S FIELD HOCKEY PAST MILLERSVILLE, 3-1

October 9, 2007, Slippery Rock, Pa. – Forward Ashley Stoner assisted on all three goals for the Slippery Rock University Women's Field Hockey team as they picked up their first win of the season on Tuesday afternoon, 3-1, over Millersville in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action.

Stoner's assists came on goals by Jennifer Venet, Rebecca Zinn and Ashley Hanna.

Millersville Forward Jaclyn Kulesza (sr. Oxford/Oxford) gave the Marauders the early lead with an unassisted goal at the 15:32 mark in the first half. The Rock would tie the game on Zinn's goal just under seven minutes later and take the lead at the 26:12 mark with a goal by Hanna.

The Marauders held plenty of opportunities to run away with the game, as they out shot Slippery Rock 26-6 and held an 11-2 advantage in penalty corners. However, Slippery Rock goalie Lisa Belcastro kept the Marauders at bay making ten saves in the contest.
