

In her first year as interim head coach of MU men's and women's tennis, Shari Bucklin-Webber guided the 2007-08 men's team to the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) playoffs, helped freshman Drew Slocum win PSAC Rookie of the Year honors and saw senior Chris Matisse capture the PSAC Player of the Week award.
The women's team won three matches in 2008 after Bucklin-Webber helped the Marauders make the NCAA Tournament in '07 as an assistant coach under Dewitt Boyd, who resigned later that summer.
Bucklin-Webber began her coaching career in 1986 as the head coach of Marshall University. For the 1988-1989 season, she was the assistant coach at the University of Notre Dame (Md.). From 1995-1998, Bucklin-Webber was the head coach at Albright College. Currently, she teaches at Lancaster Country Club.
Bucklin-Webber played tennis at Marshall University from 1982 to 1986. She was a team captain for all four years. After college, she played in three national women's doubles tournaments and one mixed doubles tournament. She also holds four United States Tennis Association doubles titles and was a Women's Tennis Association Mecca Cup qualifier in 2002.
She was inducted to the Berks County Tennis Hall of Fame in 2006.
