 2007-08 Women's Tennis Outlook

The challenge and goal for the Millersville University women's tennis team this season, as it was last, is to return to the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference team championships. Last year was a pleasant surprise. Making it to the PSAC Championships and the NCAA Regionals was truly a team effort. Every single member of the team had key wins throughout the season to get the team there.

It will be a challenge because we lost three key contributors to graduation, #1, #3, and # 4. However, there are talented returning players looking to improve on their previous individual performances lending to this years potential. We will rely on newcomers to fill in the gaps. Solid depth in the middle of our line-up has always been our forte.

Many players will be taking on a new role, stepping up a couple notches in the line-up. The returning core players share enthusiasm, work ethic, energy, and self motivation which give us the chance to make it to the conference tournament again this season. We have a lot of depth and people push each other in practices. They compete hard, but also have a good time doing it. With the growth of each player individually and knowing how they gel as a team and support each other I am anxious to see how they rise to the challenge.

It's going to be a battle, but with a few breaks, we definitely have the potential to make an impact this year.
