JENNINGS TO FOCUS ON 5000 AT NCAA TRACK AND FIELD CHAMPIONSHIP
May 14 - Priscilla Jennings (Jr. Solanco HS) was selected to participate in the NCAA Division II Track and Field Championships. Jennings will compete in the 5000 meters running the preliminary rounds on Friday May 24. She is currently ranked 3rd in the 5000. (full story)

WOMEN’S 4X800 TEAM BREAKS SCHOOL RECORD AT PENN RELAYS

April 4 – Early success for the 2008 Millersville University men's and women's track teams have resulted in 17 different individual qualifiers for the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships to be held May 1-3 on the campus of Indiana of Pennsylvania University. (full story)

MILLERSVILLE MEN'S AND WOMEN'S TRACK TEAMS WIN TEAM TITLES AT MU INVITE
March 29 – The Millersville men's and women's track and field teams locked up team title at the first annual MU Invite held Saturday at Biemesderfer Stadium's Chryst Field. The men's team tallied five first-place finishes and 184 points to beat out eight schools, including second-place Lebanon Valley College (103 points). JENNINGS NAMED ALL-AMERICAN BY USTFCCCA
March 21 – Priscilla Jennings (Jr. Solanco) was named by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) as a 2008 Women’s Division II Indoor Track and Field All-American for her performance last week at the D2 National Championships. (full story) (All-Americans)

MILLERSVILLE DISTANCE MEDLEY TEAM SHATTERS SCHOOL RECORD
Feb. 9 – The Millersville women's Distance Medley Relay team shattered the school indoor track record in the event by a whopping 25 seconds at the New Balance Games in New York City on Saturday. The finish by Brittney Zuver (so. Central York ), Brittany Yanora (so. Elmer Meyers), Rachel Hull (so. Hempfield) and Priscilla Jennings (jr. Solanco) in 12:08.90 placed them fifth in the college division and ranked them fifth in NCAA Division II as of press time.

Feb. 3 – The Millersville University men’s and women’s track and field teams tallied 10 top-five finishes at the Deschriver invitational at East Stroudsburg University on Saturday. Kelvin Reyes (sr. Cedar Crest HS) posted a first-place finish for the Marauders by running the 55-meter dash in 6.48 seconds. Priscilla Jennings (jr. MILLERSVILLE RECORDS NINE TOP-10 FINISHES AT BISON MULTI & OPEN
Jan. 26 – The Millersville University indoor track tallied nine top-10 finishes at Bucknell University 's Bison Open & Multi on Saturday. Priscilla Jennings (jr. Solanco) captured MU's best finish of the day, a second-place showing in the women's mile. Her time of 5:14.6 was just two-hundredths of a second behind winner Maureen Newell of Indiana (Pa.) University. Kelvin Reyes (sr. Cedar Crest) turned in a solid effort, finishing third in the men's 60-meter dash with a time of 7.07 seconds. (full story)

MARAUDER INDOOR TRACK ATHLETES COMPETE AT BUCKNELL'S BISON OPEN & MULTI
Jan. 25 – A pair of 15th place finishes highlighted Millersville's performance during the opening day of the Bison Open and Multi for indoor track at Bucknell University. Jessica Leddy (jr. Hempfield) finished 15th in the women's 5,000-meter run with a time of 19:00.05. Kelvin Reyes (sr. Cedar Crest) finished 15th in the men's 200-meter dash with a finals time of 23.05. (full story)

FRAYNE FINISHES SECOND AT URSINUES COLLEGE PENTATHALON
Jan. 23, 2008 - Five members of the Millersville Track and Field team traveled to Ursinus College to compete in the Pentathalon. The five event competition has all the athletes compete in the 55 meter high hurdles, high jump, long jump, shot put and 800 meter run with points being awarded based on each individual performance. December 8 – Derrick Bass (so. York Suburban) took home a first place finish in the men’s long jump and later finished fourth in the 200-meter dash to lead the Millersville University men’s indoor track team to a fourth-place finish at the Ursinus Track Classic, Saturday, in Collegeville, Pa. Millersville Announces New Cross Country and Head Track & Field Coach
JULY 20 -- Millersville University of Pennsylvania has announced that Andy Young has been hired as the new head coach for Millersville University of Pennsylvania's men's and women's cross country and track and field teams.
