The Meals-on-Wheels organization prepares and delivers meals to senior citizens and others in need in Millersville, Bausman, Pequea , Washington Boro, Conestoga, Creswell, Georgetown Hills, Holtwood, Marticville, Mt.Nebo, Quaker Hills, West Ridge and Bean Hill Road Areas. They are very much in need of people who can give a few hours a week on a regular basis as cooks, packers, drivers/visitors and substitutes. |

The Senior Center provides educational programs, exercise programs, and other activities for senior citizens. Lead one of the group activities, play cards, socialize, or develop and lead a new program – members love new programs, especially ones that get them up and moving around. Volunteers may participate in the life of the center in different ways, drawing on their own interests and level of involvement. |

The Millersville Community Parade is a university-community annual initiative started in 1997 by a group of volunteers dedicated to improving relationships between the Borough of Millersville, Millersville University , Manor Township and surrounding communities. Since then, the Millersville Community Parade has quickly evolved into one of Lancaster County 's largest and most dynamic parades. The Millersville Fire Company is an all-volunteer unit which runs about 360 calls a year and provides assistance to the residents of Millersville Borough, Millersville University , and parts of Manor Township . They also run a collapse unit that responds all over the county, and beyond. Becoming a member of the Fire Company is not a short-term commitment, but can be very rewarding over the long term. A volunteer may choose to become an active fire fighter member, or a fire police. Requirements for participation include attending a minimum of 20% of the fire calls and several hours of training.
