Deutsches Frühlingsfest

2. März, 9:00am - 1:30 pm, Millersville University

Preliminary Program:

9:00 All schools introduce themselves in a creative (music, art, etc.) way, not more than 2 minutes per school.

9:20 Studying German in college: Millersville students present.

9:45 Concurrent Competitions: Skits (3 to 5 minutes), Reading Stories Out Loud, Reciting Poems. Judges are German professors, former German teachers, and Millersville students.

                                        11:00 Lunch for $6 per person.

11:45 Quizbowl.

12:30 Winners in each category present for the whole group. Prizes are distributed.

13:00 Presentation by Ephrata HS: a song and a folk dance, everybody can participate.

13:30 Departure

Each school can participate with no more than 15 students from level 2 and up. Every student must participate in at least one event (skit, story, poem, and/or quizbowl). Quizbowl teams are formed here, not by school.

Stories and poetry for the reading and recitation contests and the rules for the skits will be distributed by February 1. (Check website and/or listserv email.)

Schools are responsible for transportation.

Register early, no more than 200 students can be accommodated. Deadline for registration is February 9. Cost for the meal ($6 per person) must be submitted with registration. Make out the check to Central PA AATG.
