Spotlight on Science

The Millersville University School of Science and Mathematics is pleased to sponsor "Spotlight on Science," an ongoing program designed to stimulate interest in science and mathematics among elementary and secondary students. The program, which began during the 1990 spring semester, features presentations by University scientists and mathematicians covering a variety of topics in biology, chemistry, earth sciences, mathematics, nursing, and physics. Presentations by our faculty may include scientific demonstrations, information on careers in science, or descriptions of our faculty members' research interests. These presentations can enrich your own science classes, and encourage young scholars to consider careers in science.

If you are interested in having one of our scientists or mathematicians speak to your students, please contact the faculty member directly, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., in order to make arrangements for a presentation. Program information is listed below by department.
