Annual – a plant that germinates, grows, flowers, produces seeds in a single growing season before dying.

Geothermal – of or pertaining to the internal heat of the earth

Native Plant – a plant that originated in the place where it is growing

Perennial – a plant that grows for many years, some perennials grow constantly, while others go through cycles of growth and dormancy

pH – the measured acidity of soil or water. A low pH means there is more acid and a high pH means there is less acid

Phosphate – a salt that is made up of phosphorus compounds

Signature School – A signature school is a school that focuses around a theme of educating students
