Conservation- the protection and management of something
Drip Irrigation System- irrigation method that allows water to seep directly into the roots of the plant through the use of special tubes and piping thus saving water
Invasive plants- aggressive plants that grow and spread quickly and invade surrounding plant life
Native plant- plants that are familiar with the soil and climate of a given area that require little care and help to conserve water
Non-native plant- plants introduced from unfamiliar areas that require heave care and water usage
Nursery (for plants)- greenhouse where you can find native plants
Riparian buffer- area surrounding a stream, river, etc that is filled with native plants and trees to shade and defend the water from toxins
Run-off- water that is leftover from rainfall that contains pollutants
Xeriscaping- special landscaping design that utilizes native plants to conserve water
