Four P’s: a pneumonic device used to describe the key principles of a sustainable business
People: The first and most important of the Four P’s, deals with relationships with clients, employees, family of businesses, community and world
Planet: The second P, deals with acting in a mature and respectful manner towards preserving the planet
Probity: The third P, deals with issues on integrity
Purpose: The final P, deals with why we act in a sustainable manner
Family of businesses: A network of like-minded businesses with whom your business cooperates to help promote the idea of sustainability
Client: A person or organization who contracts goods or services from your company
Sustainable business: companies who promote ideas of sustainability and organic growth before profit or self-promotion
Green washing: the concept that the term green is overused and could create a kind of backlash among the public.
