Glossary
Asthma- a condition which tightens the lungs, making breathing difficult
Brominated and chlorinated fire retardants- stop combustion and fire spreading
Air Duct- a pathway for airflow into a building
Formaldehyde- usually in gas form, building block for chemical compounds
Offgas- the harmful air that leaks from chemicals
Pollution- unclean air, water, or land
VOC- volatile organic compound: harmful chemicals emitted into the air
