Community Gardens-Plots of land divided amongst community members. These plots of land are used to grow certain plants and vegetables.

Herbicides-Also known as weed killers, are chemicals used to kill or eradicate certain plants. Herbicides can be harmful to the environment however.

Fertilizers-An organic or inorganic substance added to soils to help with the growth of certain plants and vegetation.

Plot-An area of land designed and used for community gardens. Horn Farm Center’s plots are 20 X 20, however other community gardens can differ in sizes.
