BALLE: This is the Business Alliance for Local Living Economies; their goal is to "catalyze, strengthen, and connect local business networks dedicated to building strong Local Living Economies.
Buy Fresh Buy Local: This is a local and national initiative that promotes buying locally grown foods.
Co-op America: This organization strives to build sustainable communities throughout the United States and abroad.
Eco-friendly products: These are products that are as free as they can be from harmful chemicals and components.
Environmentally friendly products: These products are the same as eco-friendly products.
Green businesses: These are businesses that try to minimize their environmental impact on the earth and promote sustainable living.
Green living: This is a lifestyle that can be maintained with limited exhaustion of natural resources.
Organic foods: These are legally regulated foods that are grown without the use of pesticides and other harmful chemical products.
Social responsibility: This is an ethical idea that any entity, large or small, has a responsibility to make the world a better place.
Susquehanna Sustainable Business Network: This is a non-profit organization composed of "local business people, professionals, investors, and non-profit leaders who are committed to building a more socially, environmentally, and financially sustainable economy."
Sustainable Living: This is the same concept as green living.
The Green Pages of Lancaster County: This is a buying guide for Lancaster County residents that includes a directory of local green businesses. |
