INTERNSHIP IN SPORTS MANAGEMENT Congratulations on beginning your internship. I trust it will be a successful and rewarding experience. ALL INTERNSHIPS MUST RECEIVE APPROVAL PRIOR TO THE START OF YOUR INTERNSHIP. This approval will come from either Dr. Keefer or another Wellness
and Sport Sciences faculty member if Dr. Keefer is not your MU contact for
your internship. It is the student's responsibility to find an internship site, the
faculty at MU can make suggestions if needed. Please contact your faculty
supervisor as soon as possible if you need assistance in choosing an internship
site. The menu on the left provides you with the materials that you will
need to start your internship. Please fill out the Internship Application
as soon as possible and fax, email or mail it to Dr. Keefer (or your MU
contact if not Dr. Keefer) so that you may start on working on your internship.
This application is for faculty use ONLY. You will still need
to register for the course. To register for internship credit hours
during the Summer III session, you have to wait for summer registration to
begin. To register for internship credit hours during the Fall or Spring
semesters, you will need to go to Room 210 in Pucillo (the department's office)
and fill out a "Request for Special Study Assignment" sheet. All of the information and documents that you will need can be found in the internship website in Blackboard (Blackboard Login link on the left). In order to get to that material, you will need to have your internship application accepted by one of the faculty members of our department (whomever your contact may be). Once accepted, you will be permitted to enter the internship Blackboard Website to obtain the documents that you need to complete your internship. Information on Usernames and Passwords can be found on the webpage that follows the "Blackboard Login" link to the left.
As your university supervisor, I will try to maintain regular contact
with you either by telephone (717-871-2182) or by email (dkeefer@millersville.edu).
However, if you encounter problems during your internship, or if you have
any questions or concerns, please call me (or whomever is your faculty supervisor)
immediately so I can attempt to resolve them as soon as possible. |
